Pack the Pond is back this year, Monday, August 3, 2026 from 5pm to 8pm at Hudson Springs Park.
Join the hundreds of families that attend Pack the Pond! Activities include free kayak, canoe and paddleboard opportunities courtesy of Kent State University Department of Recreation and Wellness Services Adventure Center. Because of strong demand, we do ask that people interested in these free activities please pre-register directly with KSU RecWell using the following links:
We’ll also have information on geocaching by local experts “The Muddy Dawgs” and free hot dogs.
We are featuring the 14th annual Pack the Pond & Kayak Raffle; prizes are donated by our many outstanding and supportive Hudson merchants. Grand prize is a Quest Outlands 100 Kayak with Quest Chute Aluminum Kayak Paddle AND an Onyx Adult MoveVent Dynamic Nylon Life Vest. The grand prize drawing will be at 7:30pm, at the boat launch ramp next to May Pavilion at Hudson Springs Park.
