The Colorful World of Butterflies and Moths with Judy Semroc

September 30 @ 6:30 pm 7:30 pm

Hudson Library & Historical Society

Tuesday, Sep. 30, 6:30 PM

Please join the Hudson Library & Historical Society in partnership with the Friends of Hudson Parks for an in-person program on “The Colorful World of Butterflies and Moths”, with conservation specialist Judy Semroc. Learn more about these colorful insects’ natural history, why they are beneficial, and how to attract them to visit your yards and gardens.

Often admired for their beauty, these winged insects are far more than seasonal garden visitors—they are metamorphic marvels, ecological powerhouses, and storytellers of the natural world.

Judy Semroc, conservation specialist, field biologist, and naturalist, is also the founder of Chrysalis in Time‚ the first Ohio chapter of the North American Butterfly Association (NABA). Judy also serves on the Ohio Bluebird Society & Ohio Ornithological Society (Conservation Committee) board. She has co-authored two natural history guides, “Dragonflies & Damselflies of Northeast Ohio”, and “Goldenrods of Northeast Ohio: A Field Guide to Identification & Natural History”. For the past 20+ years, Judy was a Conservation Specialist in the Natural Areas Division of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
