Colony Park Guided Walk

September 23, 2023 @ 9:00 am 10:30 am

and an Introduction to the iNaturalist App
Saturday, September 23, 2023, 9—10:30 a.m.
Colony Park, 6075 Ogilby Dr, Hudson

RAIN DATE SUNDAY, 9/24, 9 a.m.

Friends of Hudson Parks Board Member Rick Beam will provide an introduction to the
iNaturalist app including how to record your nature observations. The iNaturalist app aids
in organizing, sharing, discussing and identifying nature observations as well as creating
quality data for conservation and scientific purposes for use locally and world wide.

Come prepared to walk with sturdy, closed-toe shoes and your own water.

iNaturalist is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in the U.S.; however, is
available world wide to record and organize nature findings.

Please download the iNaturalist app to your smart phone and set up your account prior to
the event. If you need help in the download and set up process we will be able to devote
some time for that at the event. Having the app available will enhance your total experience
but is NOT required to participate in this hike.

Friends of Hudson Parks has established a project named Friends of Hudson Parks BioBlitz
within iNaturalist to record observations within the City of Hudson, OH parks. You may
view the observations in this project by joining the project in iNaturalist. Friends of Hudson
Parks will use the observations in conjunction with the City of Hudson and it’s Park
Board to benefit conservation efforts as well as bring awareness and joy to the observer
and other naturalists.

Please sign up by emailing beckymooney@friendsofhudsonparks.org prior to the event.

We look forward to seeing your observations!
